Key Projects:

Biotage – Lab automation, Extrahera solid phase extraction automation platform

European Technical and Product Marketing Manager, working with the Project Manager. 

  • Arranged visits to customers from a range of industries to cover different sample types (e.g. 10 µL plasma to 5 mL water),
  • Gained information about industry quality requirements for pipetting
  • Arranged beta-test program
  • Trained with service engineers as installed and trained beta-test customers
  • Collated information from beta-test, provided data for technical and marketing literature
  • Organised the European launch and trained sales team
  • Sold the first unit in company (as I was temporarily covering a sales territory)
  • Ongoing technical support and training, including video demonstrations

 

Biotage – Laboratory Solvent Evaporation – TurboVap range

European Technical and Product Marketing Manager, working with the Project Manager. 

  • Project to produce completely new system to replace extremely robust evaporator
  • Collected voice of the customer to suggest improvements e.g. customers said they had to open the system to see if their samples were dry – suggested improving visibility by using clear side panels.
  • Collecting competitor information around ease of use and technical specifications
  • Planned and executed regional beta-testing programme

 

Biotage – Regional Marketing Manager

  • Working with the sales team to provide a annual plan for the European sales organisation which with aligned with company strategy
  • Set up and managed European demonstration laboratory
  • Collated information from front-line sales to support application and product development
  • Developed relationships with key opinion leaders for collaborations
  •  Organised the European launch of Extrahera and ensure all stakeholders ready

 

LGC Bioanalytical Services – Start sales in a new territory – Nordic countries

Business Development Manager - Bioanalysis

  • Understand the regional business drivers e.g. Nordic countries have very strong network and like to place work locally, so leverage a company site in Copenhagen even though it belongs to a different division
  • Use case studies and local recommendations from regional large customers
  • Brand awareness activities planned with central marketing team, attendance and sponsorship at conferences, advertising in print and electronic media
  • Develop list of target companies from industry directories and internet searches
  • Develop email marketing list

 

PreOmics – Website refresh and develop application notes for biopharma industry

Northern Europe Technical Sales and Support

  • Redeveloped website alongside website developer and marketing creative, agreed structure and content
  • Web copy to reflect the younger more informal “voice” of PreOmics using Challenge and Solution style
  • Worked with R&D to provide appropriate replicate data that is needed by biopharma quality  and regulatory systems
